People were really happy to see Ted happy after all this time. He’s probably suffered the most of all the characters on the show. He’s been punched around literally and figuratively, and I think there was some relief seeing him happy and with a person who loves his jokes and got his weird things because she has her own weird things. It’s just the happiness of someone you care about. I think that speaks to something really nice. That people care about him, they care about the show and want him to be okay.

Attention all shoe addicts!
We are both thrilled to finally share the collaboration we’ve been working on with Keep Company! We have each designed our own pair of shoes from top to bottom (the cat print is designed by EE Storey!) and we are so excited by the results! Both shoes really reflect our own personal style, so we hope you love them as much as we do!!
The shoes will be produced in limited quantities and will hit stores in late May 2014, but pre-order is available now until Tuesday, February 11th. Get first dibs on both styles here and learn more about each design at http://www.keepcompany.com/page/TS

Paul Thomas Anderson was getting ready to make The Master and he called me and we met. And we talked and we ended up meeting for coffee. We didn’t talk about The Master but I met him to chat. And then he kept calling me and he wanted to talk and talk but I didn’t know what he wanted to talk about because we’d always just kind of bullshitted on the phone. So then when he started talking about the role he said ‘Do you feel like you can do this?’ And I said ‘Yeah, totally. Look, I think you’re like the best American director. I feel confident. I know I can do this.’ And he said to me ‘But I want this to scare you. I want this role, going on this journey to scare you.’ And I was like ‘Scare?! I know I can do it.’
then when I saw Joaquin in that movie I realized ‘Oh, he wanted me to like lose my mind.’ And so I guess that’s just to say I usually don’t get scared of roles.
